I tell you what disappoints me the most? On articles advertising this quote, people say the usual “oh her policies are awful, she’s fucked up the job so now she calls the sexism card? Why can’t men do that?”. Well, if a white man can’t take you by the hand and show you Australia, I’ll put it my way.

Julia Gillard is hardly a good prime minister, however, she gets criticised for more than her political prowess. Her fashion sense, hair styles, relationship status, her showing of or lack of emotion, even her god damn earlobe size have been criticised. How often has that happened to another male politician?

Penny Wong was also maliciously meowed at for her comments in parliament.

When put in power, women are expected to fills society’s fucked up gender roles and still do their job. We’re told to be feminine and friendly but called weak when we do, if we are strong and silent, we are called cold and emotionless.

Sexism still exists. That is all.
